"I think we're
all naturally catchy," states Jonny.
"Yeah we're very contagious," replies Muffin.
He adds to his statement "If we didn't put hooks in them
we'd get bored playing them. You know you need to enjoy them
yourself."
The debut album 'Got It Made', aptly titled given the band's
history is done and dusted, the band are proud. Muffin admits
that some of the songs used are quite old, though while 'Work
It Out' is probably the oldest one song was written two days
before the album was finished.
The recording of the album went well, "well I enjoyed it,"
claims Jonny above the light laughing. You can sense that perhaps
it didn't all go too well. Did you record the album in a plush
studio?
"No not really," starts Jonny. "It was a shabby
residential one really. It had some of the Charlatans gold disks
up."
"The studio had its heyday in the early nineties and late
eighties," begins Muffin. "I don't think there's a
market for plush studios anymore anyway because there's not
much money in guitar bands anymore."
Do you have any plans for the band at all? Obviously it's early
days yet, well is it early days, it's been four years?
"We're looking forward to recording another album,"
says Stefan quite keenly.
"Nobody knows what direction that will go in," laughs
Jonny.
If unfortunately the option to record another album isn't offered,
you've so much that you can look back on.
"We waited so long to get a record deal that I think we're
all so happy we finally made an album that it means so much
to us, " admits Muffin. "Yeah, fine if we didn't get
to record another one, then fine."
Jonny admits listening to the album a lot "I don't usually
listen to what we've done and if we didn't record an album then
I'd be very pleased with what we've done and achieved."
Muffin starts to rubs her eyes and blubbers "So now we're
all gonna cry."
