"It's weird because it's like what
our bassist, Clove said about it being like the Wizard of
Oz. You get to the end of the film and you know there's just
this little guy. It was a bit of anti climax. You think you've
made it and when you go on TV you realise that everything
is still the same."
The band have recently endured a bad event during a shot for
a promo video but had Glen ever experienced any bad moments
on stage?
"Last night was pretty rough as there was bad sound.
We couldn't hear each other. I've fallen over a few times,
smashed things up and fallen down holes in stages. It's quite
difficult going on tour again because you get people shouting
for the old stuff that we know we're not going to play. That's
a little hard you know? You feel sorry for them."
Had there been any consideration to rework some of the old
songs?
"No, we do 'Dead' and we do that slightly differently.
I don't feel like playing those songs. I just can't. I don't
want to sing the lyrics really."
So back to the video shoot, apparently there was a helicopter
crash?
"It wasn't a real helicopter. It was a model one with
a camera attached but it would still fucking take your head
off. There was this guy with a tee shirt with a helicopter
on it giving us this big safety explanation about it like,
"I'm the controller, trust me, I've been doing it twenty
years". He was flying it right by our heads. The thing
went out and lost control. We were on this council estate
and all these people were leaning out of the window shouting
"Yeah, now we can get some peace". It was good to
see the look on the man's face because it was his proud and
joy. I was hysterical. I was cracking up. I hated the bloke."
