Pure Reason Revolution

"Basically we did an album of nine tracks about eight months ago. Rather than do another single we wanted to get a bit of a body of work out there. So we sort of nicked four of those nine tracks to make 'Cautionary Tales For The Brave'. There will be another single or two and the album, which will be called 'The Dark Third', we've been making up the tracks for it."

So it's still effectively a work in progress?

"Yep, we made an album and nicked four tracks to make the mini album and now we're just topping it up," states Chloe.

As long as it's not like Embrace with their debut album, compiling an album of EP tracks the band will probably be fine.

"We kinda don't want to do too much of the old material," begins Jon. "We'd rather release as much fresh stuff as possible."

With Jon being the band's key writer, is he suffering early on with writer's block due to the added pressure of being signed?

"Not yet, hopefully that won't happen."

"No, there's loads of demos isn't there?" asks Chloe of Jon.

"One of the way we work is from demos. We'll take some of the stuff from those and make proper recordings. Sometimes we've found that when trying to replay a guitar part on a demo it doesn't really sound as good as the demo. So why don't we just use the demo? You try and spend about five hours before you think I should have used that."

"There comes a point when you realise that you captured the moment first time round," adds Chloe. >>
