Musically as Thomas
explains they like "anything danceable, good, electronic."
"We also like ESG," states Darren. "That's 'ESG'.
Not 'The ESG' as we had been misquoted as saying."
Perhaps in these early days the band has been labelled as sounding
as bands that, they would rather not be told they sound like.
Though when the question is asked the exact opposite is discussed.
"A lot of them have been fine," claims Deborah.
"Talking Heads, Hot chip," lists Darren. "We
got a Joy Division tag the other day, which was good. We can't
complain about that."
We joke that they have a list at home that they tick off every
name that gets mentioned.
"There was something weird like Scritti Politti,"
claims Thomas as he ponders. "It was the B52s," he
announces. "That was a bit weird and something different
than the others."
"'Legal Tender' is a great song," states Darren before
providing us all with a burst of the chorus. "I'm alright
with the B52s. I think they got a bit of a cheesy rap."
Things are going well for the band, with a number of songs scheduled
to be released over the forthcoming months.
"Our first single, 'Oh' is out November 10th on '50 Bones',"
says Darren rather happily. "And 'Hear It In Cans' coming
on Kitsume Maison 6 in October."
Though are they happy with their current crop of songs? >> |
