Both are working with time constraints, as will be explained
shortly, which is the reason behind why they feel that they
are not influenced by music outside their genre as much as
they would like to be.
"I may listen to a track that has some nice strings in
it and you can take an idea from that," admits Rob. "I
don't listen to that much music outside of the music that
we do 'cause we're always at it."
"You can get some good ideas," agrees Junior. "We
just don't have the time."
Both are currently juggling their time on their music with
working as plasterers.
"We both do well from the music but we both get good
income from the full time jobs. It's going to be a case fairly
soon that the way things are going that we're going to quit
our job. It's a case of timing as to when we swap over. At
the moment it's not right because we're still questioning
but the music side is getting busier with remixes and our
new tracks getting signed. There will be a natural progression
but I think we'll instinctively know when the time is right."
Their label Red Recordings was set up to release some more
of their own music. The label's debut release, 'Can't Take
No More' was apparently one of the biggest tracks at the Winter
Music Conference held in Miami in 2005, gaining massive support
from various DJs and picking up plays on Kiss, Galaxy and
Cool FM. The monthly night they run came off the back of that
success.
"Things started to build up, so we started to start a
night off give it a bit of base," adds Rob "We asked
the venue to do a monthly thing and that started to grow quite
well and then we got some interest from a couple of big places
in London. We ran a couple of parties there and started to
get some press here and there and people started to hear about
it. We then approached the venue to move from Fridays to Saturdays
and used our 1st birthday party for this and we rammed the
place out." >>
