Disciples Of Sound

It is relatively easy to find house compilation albums containing all the hits but it's harder to find albums by individual house artistes. Is that because it's harder for an album to be made?

"I don't think there's much pressure to get an album out as there are with groups and bands," begins Junior. "I've noticed now that there's a few remix DJs who have just released their debut albums but I've known that as DJs they've been around for ages."

"If we weren't working and had three or four months to sit down and spend time to do an album," begins Rob, "We would no doubt draw influences from other types of music because you've got to draw influences from different places. It would be nice to make an album."

"It would be nice to make it as a journey, rather than a collection of tracks," adds Junior.

"I would love to do that. Put on all the remix work and all the production that we've done so far, with all the earlier stuff," explains Rob.

Earlier stuff? Hold on, wouldn't the lad's be set up for possible self-embarrassment?

"I pulled out 'Funk Me' the other day," starts Rob. " I thought yes we've progressed so far but there's till something in there that we're doing today. That toughness element in what we're doing is still there. Totally different production wise but you can still hear what we do today in that."
