Giant Drag

Since the recording, the band have been inundated with commitments; press requests, small tours of America and now tours in Europe including extensive dates in England. So there is little chance that they will have the free time.

"I mean you need space to play and record the demo," announces Micah eagerly.

Yes, tour buses aren't renown for being exactly the best place to record.

"We don't have tour buses," laughs Annie who seemingly now looks perked up. "We can't afford them."

Annie and Micah are far from looking for sympathy. They are also as far removed from any sombreness that may be envisaged, as anyone who's witnessed their upbeat live sets and Annie's crowd interaction will testify.

Of course like most bands they have a soft and hard side, good and bad days. So bad in fact there was a minor split after they released their EP 'Lemona' but then came their reunion and the debut album. They were friends of friends brought together, with initially Micah helping Annie record her songs but it made sense, having known the songs already that he may as well make them an official music duo.

Having two band members has its benefits.

"It's easier having two people," begins Annie. "I mean organising a band practice is very easy, only one other person has to be available."

That would suit touring as well. Prior to this tour the band have played in the UK before, supporting the Nine Black Alps and a couple of headlining dates headlining. So have they had an opportunity to take much in of England and see some of the sights? >>
