"We usually don't see much, because we don't have days
off," states Annie. "We see inside the venues and things going by the
windows, that's about it." "We have a couple of days off on
this tour," admits Micah. Will these two days perhaps be used to
recuperate? "We've already had one day off and sometimes a day off
will be a travel day anyway," replies Annie. So they are probably
experts on our service stations. They both laugh in agreement. From the
safety and comfort of my home, after the interview, I can make the pun about touring
being a giant drag for the band. Upon reflection, of the little touring that they
have done in America it probably is the case. "On a tour we did
we would drive eight hours to play a show. Then three hours afterwards just to
stay somewhere for the night, wake up and drive ten more hours," states Annie.
With all this possible travelling involved, have the pair been selective
in their choice of gigs or have they, on occasion been perhaps a little gung-ho?
"We never really toured in the early days. We mostly played in LA and
then we played a one off gig in San Francisco. Sometimes we'd drive up the day
before, play and drive home the day after." Presumably stopping
at more service stations. Interview
