So you got a bigger room?
Chris laughs, "Yeah now we got a five bedroom farmhouse.
So that's all right."
So you all share it with a rehearsal room?
"Yeah. Our landlord is twenty-five. He's only a couple
of years older than us lot. He inherited it and his grandmother
lived in it. It's massive, with a dairy attached to it. The
dairy makes for a wicked practice room. It's tall and we put
some gym mats up against the walls and stuff, (smiles) so
the sound doesn't get out."
While Chris speaks, Tom enters the large room at the Soundhaus.
He walks over in our direction, introduces himself and apologises
several times for his earlier absence. I explain the current
topic of situation. Straight away he dives into the conversation.
"It's right out in the sticks though. We're away from
everything you know what I mean? The nearest thing to us is
a little bar shop down the road and that's all we got like,
it's cool."
I briefly explain to Tom what we've covered. I direct my next
question to him. As a band do you think you've created your
own style or do you think you've got your own style? Chris
was saying before that it's like a roller coaster, well not
a roller coaster as such but with ups and downs, basically
it's different.
"We've got our own kind of style in a way, in different
elements of music. We'll have one electro rock tune kind of
thing and then and we'll have our signature on a slower tune
but still with that electro vibe, maybe with a hip-hop beat
breaking in there. We've got a lot influences but we've pretty
much got our
own style." >>
